Robert McKelvie

Area of expertise: heart failure

Professor McKelvie is associate professor of medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. He is a cardiologist (a doctor who specialises in diseases that affect the heart and circulation) and does research on how the body reacts to exercise and how exercise can help people with a heart condition.

He has also done studies of congestive heart failure and is the main researcher for several studies of treatments, such as exercise, angiotensin II receptor antagonists and growth hormone.
