Dr. O'Reilly is a member of the gastrointestinal oncology service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA. Gastrointestinal oncology is the study of cancer that grows in the digestive system. She is also assistant professor at the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York.

Dr. O'Reilly teaches and does research on cancer of the pancreas, liver and bile duct. She is involved in research on new treatments for these diseases.
